Oolong Mojitos and other Tea Cocktails

Posted by Sterling

The Dos Hermanos blog recently shared an interesting Oolong Mojito recipe by Henrietta Lovell, owner of The Rare Tea Company.

The ingredients are:

  • rum
  • lime juice
  • unrefined sugar
  • fresh mint
  • cooled Oolong

The full recipe is available here.

This looks absolutely delicious. I’ll have to add the ingredients to my shopping list and give it a try.

This is great. I can’t wait to make this cocktail when my fresh mint grows in the garden this Spring.

@Abbie Ooh, fresh mint from your garden sounds wonderful. Watch out, I might be inviting myself over for cocktail hour. 🙂

If you’re a fan of tea cocktails, give Tavalon Tea a try! Their Mo-tea-to’s are delicious! Not to mention the other kinds of tea they have, I’ve been ordering from their website and I’m loving all of the flavors I’ve had so far!

This sounds appealing, particularly because I like my mojitos less sweet and I imagine, depending on what kind of oolong you used, it could add some pleasant bitterness. My intuition would be to try it using a formosa amber oolong and brewing it rather strongly.
